POULTRY
We raise free-range poultry for eggs, breeding and meat. We only feed a natural, non-medicated feed and produce, from hatch to adult.
We have a mixed flock of laying hens, ducks, and geese, made up of mostly dual-purpose breeds. We raise broiler meat chickens and double-breasted turkeys once a year, as well as our own farm-hatched poultry whenever one of our flock becomes broody and hatches a clutch.
Our goal is to raise and grow our livestock as naturally and humanely as possible. We use a natural, chemical-free preventative routine to keep our animals healthy, happy and thriving! Natural non-distilled Apple Cider Vinegar has many health benefits to man and beast and we add it monthly to our poultry drinking water. We use organic coconut oil sprays and feed the poultry grated raw coconut and coconut milk as part of our routine parasite prevention. We do not use hormones, subtherapeutic antibiotics or steroids.
Our poultry is cooped at night for safety and let out in the morning to either free-range on our farm and pastures all day until dusk when they instinctively go back to the coop for the night. During the day they are happily scratching for bugs and foraging for greens, dust-bathing in their favorite spots or splashing in their pool, as well as resting in the shade of the many old orchard trees and hawthorn bushes.
We occasionally have excess breeding stock, eggs, and young poultry available for sale, and do take orders for finished poultry.
Discounts available for 4-H kids.

We love having our egg laying flock be the different colors, sizes and personalities of the different chicken breeds - not to mention the differing eggs! We started our flock in 2012 when we moved back to the ranch and every year we add new members, sometimes a few, sometimes a whole bunch! We have had so many different breeds, if you see a chicken you would like to know what breed it is, please let us know.
Both of our children have shown/show poultry in 4H since 2012.
